Dear friend who would like me to stop writing and sharing "political posts", I appreciate what you are saying. You are feeling saturated by too much politics, you scroll through your timeline and it seems to be all anyone is talking about these days. People who never even seemed bothered about the world suddenly have a lot to say and there seems to be a general climate of unrest. Why ?
Posting about what is going on in the world around isn't a fanciful whim, we are not doing it for the fun of it. We are genuinely terrified of what is going on. We can see that we are gearing up for a new world order that is remarkably similar to the one surrounding the second World War. History has taught us what happens when we let fear and hatred rule. We are so scared every day seeing what is going on. But we also have hope, we hope that by posting this, we might reach someone who has no concern for politics but maybe does for humanity's fate. We hope that maybe, just maybe, you won't just scroll past looking for pictures of kittens or whatever and will actually be moved by the terrible things taking place right now in our world. We hope that you and your friends and family will wake up to the reality and see what is truly going on. And we also know from history that a "resistance movement" however small at first can be mightily powerful. We know that "united we stand, divided we fall" so even if we haven't reached you with our words, we know that we can show our unity and our willingness to fight this horrible juggernaut that is moving towards us. Like the maquisards and the protesters at Tiannemen square and the suffragettes, we will be heard. We will stand together and build an army of peaceful allies, whose swords will be words and whose love will overcome the obstacles of lies. We see the world crumbling and by sharing articles about it, by supporting each other and fighting for the truth we try to glue it back together...In Unity we can do it all !!!!!
